Brittany and Normandy; March 2023

March can be a great time to visit Brittany and Normandy as the crowds of tourists are yet to arrive, and the weather is usually mild. Well, usually, when the winds are not howling and it’s not raining. It is spring and the weather can be very unpredictable.

In Brittany, we photographed the coastal lighthouses. We visited the medieval town of Dinan, and ate crepes. In Normandy, we walked along the D-Day landing Omaha beach, viewed the Bayeux Tapestry, and photographed the harbor of Honfleur and cliffs above Étretat. Of course, we had to sample the renowned seafood in both regions, treating ourselves to oysters and fish dinners.

At the end of the trip, I spent two days hitting the highlights of Paris.
