Maine Photo Workshop – 1980

I have recently started to scan old negatives and slides. This first batch comes from a photography workshop in Maine. I audited a few classes offered by Linda Troeller, a colleague at Stockton College. She encouraged me to continue with courses at the Maine Photography Workshop, today called the Maine Media. In this collection I attempted to emulate the darkroom processing of the originals in Lightroom and Photoshop. Creating the “hand-colored” fire engine was far easier with Photoshop layers & masks than with Marshall oils and Q-tips. Note that the prints created 42 years ago are still in great shape. All of those lessons and hours stressing proper technique paid off.
