COVID-19 curtailed travel through 2020, reduced photo opportunities, and subconsciously dampened my drive to go out and shoot. The Glens Natural Area features the Falls Trail System, a moderately difficult hike along cascading waterfalls through rock-strewn ledges and old growth forests. The park is very popular, so we visited on a Thursday and Friday to avoid crowds. Friday presented perfect weather for photographing waterfalls, overcast and a bit of rain. This kept the tourists away, but not the many photographers who came to the middle of nowhere to capture the peak color of the season.
Ricketts Glen State Park location in north central Pennsylvania sits amidst some of the most scenic areas in PA. We had considered heading a bit north and west to the Loyalsock region, but will save that for another time.
