For most of the week clouds and mist veiled the majestic peaks of Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy. But weather does not last forever. We took a pre-dawn hike to Laguna Capri and were greeted by breath taking views of Fitz Roy. At this altitude, the rain we got in El Chaltén left a light dusting of snow, the last of summer. On our final morning we returned to the Rio de Las Vueltas canyon, where I followed the shadow of Fitz Roy as it ran down Cerro Torre.
