Hurricane Ridge and Obstruction Point

Hurricane Ridge at times lives up to its name with strong winds and even summer snows. However our visit to this mountainous area of Washington’s Olympic National Park featured crystal clear and calm mornings. We had hoped for some low clouds clinging to the forest below or high clouds lit pink from the rising sun. I am not complaining, as the views were  spectacular and there were plenty of opportunities to capture the serenity and calm of each morning. In the late afternoon, we went out along Obstruction Point Road, were we settled into a warmly lit alpine meadow for a sublime sunset.
