As previously mentioned, Michael Furman lead our photo club on a tour of the Simeone Automotive Museum. He offered us an intimate look at each sports car’s place in history and how it came to the museum. I had the good fortune to spend a half-hour photo session with the 1938 Alfa Romeo. One of the finest pre-war sports racing cars; driven by Clemente Biondetti this car won the 1938 Mille Miglia. Michael mentioned that this is the one car that Dr. Simeone would go into the building to retrieve, if it were on fire. I’m with him on that.
