The off-season meant we had the beaches mostly to ourselves with January temperatures ranging from the sunny 60&#8217;s to brisk nights in the 40&#8217;s (Fahrenheit). Our accommodations at the Suites Alba Resort were quite comfortable and a five minute walk to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.algarvetips.com\/beaches\/lagoa\/praia-de-albandeira\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Praia de Albandeira<\/a>,&nbsp;cliffs and two small beaches. Throughout the week we took excursions to nearby <a href=\"http:\/\/www.algarvetips.com\/beaches\/lagoa\/praia-de-benagil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Benagil<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lagosportugalguide.com\/lagos-algarve\/ponta-da-piedade-lagos.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ponta da Piedade<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.algarvetips.com\/beaches\/lagoa\/praia-do-carvoeiro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carvoeiro<\/a>.
