{"id":2220,"date":"2014-01-25T08:56:27","date_gmt":"2014-01-25T13:56:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.migrate.edwardbacon.com\/blog\/?p=2220"},"modified":"2019-11-28T14:38:10","modified_gmt":"2019-11-28T19:38:10","slug":"1938-alfa-romeo-8c-2900b-mm-spyder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edwardbacon.com\/blog\/2014\/01\/1938-alfa-romeo-8c-2900b-mm-spyder\/","title":{"rendered":"1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B MM Spyder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As previously mentioned,&nbsp;<a title=\"Michael Furman\" href=\"http:\/\/michaelfurman.com\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael Furman<\/a>&nbsp;lead our photo club on a tour of the <a title=\"Simeone automotive museum\" href=\"http:\/\/simeonemuseum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Simeone Automotive Museum<\/a>. &nbsp;He offered us an intimate look at each sports car&#8217;s place in history and how it came to the museum. &nbsp;I had the good fortune to spend a half-hour photo session with the 1938 Alfa Romeo.&nbsp;&nbsp;One of the finest pre-war sports racing cars; driven by Clemente Biondetti this car won the 1938 <a title=\"MIlle Miglia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mille_Miglia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mille Miglia<\/a>.&nbsp;Michael mentioned that this is the one car that Dr. Simeone would go into the building to retrieve, if it were on fire.
