The four 90 minute presentations cover:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Getting Organized<\/i> \u2013 discusses the strength of Lightroom as a tool to organize your images and work. This is at a high level and meant to have you reflect on what you want to achieve, and then match that with Lightroom\u2019s capabilities.<\/li>\n
  2. An Efficient and Consistent Workflow<\/i> \u2013 how I use smart collections to process a photo shoot without too much fuss. Included are topics like creating a camera profile, metadata presets, tagging and keywords.<\/li>\n
  3. Sharing, Showing, Publishing and Printing<\/em> – more than just a Library for your photography, Lightroom has modules to help you show your work across different media. I will touch on Exporting and Publishing, the Print Module and Lightroom Mobile.<\/li>\n
  4. Image Processing<\/i> \u2013 apply some Art 101 concepts using the Lightroom Develop module. I will mention some Photoshop techniques I use as well.<\/li>\n
  5. On the Road<\/i> \u2013 this is a catch-all for miscellaneous topics that come up in the other talks and may include how I use Lightroom when travelling with my laptop, storage and backup strategy, using multiple catalogs \u2013 whatever the group wants to hear. Just in case you are wondering how there is five out of four, this is an optional presentation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Prior to each presentation I will post the slides and possibly other downloads here. So be sure to check back before attending each session. The slides serve as your lecture notes, I would recommend having a copy with you to annotate during the class.<\/div>\n

    Action sets for Photoshop
    \n    EFB Photo Edit<\/a> – creates Adjustment Layers with blend modes for tuning image tone, saturation and temperature; promotes non-destructive editing.
    \n    EFB NIK Tools<\/a> – actions that establish a common starting point when using NIK in Photoshop. Use of Smart Objects allows tweaking the NIK adjustments.
    \nOnce you download these files to your computer, then one can simply double-click on each action (.atn) file to install it. If that does not work with your version of Photoshop and the operating system, then try following the instructions on how to install Actions into Photoshop using one of these     results from searching Google<\/a>.<\/p>\n
