Fjallsj\u00f6kull which is part of the bigger glacier reaches down to the water of the lake and some ice-bergs are drifting by on its surface.\rIt is situated not far from Skaftafell National Park and the better known glacier lake J\u00f6kuls\u00e1rl\u00f3n.
