This week’s macro class centered on the quality and direction of light. As an exercise we were to capture the different types of light. I spent much of the morning in the cactus room and bright diffuse light. In the second hour I visited the orchid area and moved my flash around trying different directional light. I liked the glow that seems to come from within an orchid when lit from the back. During the week I’ll go into our meadow at in the early morning and late afternoon for some natural directional light.
